As a reading interventionist, I know how hard it can be to find the right strategies that will work for specific students. Over the years I have been compiling different reading activities that can be used with struggling readers as well as average reading. I have put documents together in a way that is easily understandable. There are activities for the five pillars of reading: phonemic awareness, phonics, vocabulary, fluency, and comprehension. These activities can be printed out and put into a three ring binder for easy access. Teachers and parents can use these activities in the classroom as well as at home.
I am exposed to new reading activities to use with students all of the time. I will continue to post those that I find to be effective with my students.
Please feel free to download and print the following pages to make your own reading strategies notebook!
